You Will:

As a Technical Researcher/Engineer within the AdTech Technical Research Team, you'll play a key role in exploring and understanding the latest technologies in the ad tech domain. You'll conduct research, experiment with new technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess their potential for integration into our systems. Your work will combine programming, research, and analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of various ad tech solutions.

Desired Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as researcher or engineer.
  • Solid technical proficiency: programming skills and the ability to understand large and complex systems and architectures.
  • Openness and willingness to experiment & learn: readiness to take on new challenges, explore new technologies, and continuously expand knowledge in the ad tech domain.
  • Independence & proactive attitude: ability to take initiative and act without excessive supervision while maintaining a high standard.
  • Goal-oriented mindset: focus on achieving specific project goals and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaboration & communication: ability to work effectively with teammates and other teams, clearly sharing knowledge and cooperating with external organizations (e.g. major browser vendors, W3C, GitHub discussions).
  • Ability to build Proof of Concepts (PoCs): creating prototypes and experimental solutions to evaluate effectiveness and utility.

Selected Technologies & Projects:

  • Languages: Python, Java, Scala, TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Tools & Libraries: PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks
  • Platforms: BigQuery, GCP
  • Domains: Browser Engines
  • Assessing new privacy mechanisms (e.g. Privacy Sandbox APIs) by building PoCs, testing, and suggesting improvements (via GitHub issues or meetings).
  • Exploring solutions for Android and iOS, including creating prototypes to improve performance on mobile platforms, in collaboration with other teams and leveraging ML opportunities.
