Technical Recruiter Lead at Mental Health Startup

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Technical Recruiter to build and lead our recruiting pipeline from scratch. You’ll create and manage our full cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates. This role is highly collaborative as you’ll work cross-functionally with hiring managers to set hiring plans and interview requirements. You’ll be hiring for our highest value positions, with engineering as top priority and also other functional leadership roles.

Grow Therapy is at an exciting turning point in our growth story. As the first recruiting/HR hire, you’ll play a fundamental role in shaping the company's talent and culture!

 

What You’ll Do

  • Create and own the candidate recruiting process from scratch
  • Set up and manage Grow’s ATS to advertise job openings, manage the interview process, and collaborate with interviewers
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, from intro call to final offer
  • Source potential candidates from various online platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Hired, BuiltInNYC, Triplebyte); Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Screen incoming candidates to provide shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers; parse specialized technical skills and qualifications
  • Interview candidates, both selling Grow as an employer and assessing applicant fit
  • Identify highest leverage platforms to source candidates and strategic creative recruiting sources (e.g. hackathons); setup and manage those accounts
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to draft technical job descriptions and hiring criteria, and plan for future hiring needs
  • Monitor key HR metrics along the hiring funnel
  • Own new hire onboarding
  • Passionate about improving mental health accessibility
  • 5-8Y experience in technical recruiting or a similar role
  • Full cycle technical recruitment experience, from sourcing to closing
  • Technical expertise with ability to understand and explain job requirements for engineering roles
  • Entrepreneurial and excited about greenfield projects. We have big ambitions and a small team, so we expect you to operate with autonomy and initiative
  • Team player and strong collaborator. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with nearly every team in the company
  • Strong communicator (written and verbal) who will represent our company and culture with enthusiasm and kindness. You get energy from building relationships with both candidates and hiring managers
  • Experience with sourcing techniques and creative to explore creative channels
  • Hands-on experience interviewing candidates and managing interviewing processes
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
