Your role
Let’s start with giving you a little context. Over the last few years, our Technology team has been working tirelessly to engineer our product to what it is today. While we’re about to deploy our product (Skytree Stratus), it’s up to you to streamline certain projects by defining project plans, milestones and deliverables. Along the way, you’ll make sure everything goes according to plan, stays within budget and the right quality is being met (this is just the tip of the iceberg!).
Besides, as Skytree is a relatively young company, you won’t just work within the system. You’ll also co-build the Project Management Office (PMO) System by contributing to the maturity of our PMO-standards.

You’ll make an impact by
The intro above is just the start! While your role as Technical Project Manager can be quite fluid still, and might organically change over time, you’ll find your core responsibilities below.
Project Planning, Execution, and Documentation
Defining project plans, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Project Planning: Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Develop and maintain all critical project artifacts, including:
Detailed project plans, Project briefs, timelines, and Responsibility matrices.
Project budgets and comprehensive Risk assessments.
Tracking, statusing, and reporting tools.
Maintaining project management documentation, including status reports, issue logs, budgets, meeting minutes, and action lists.
Documentation: Ensuring the accuracy of all project documentation, encompassing project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other pertinent records.
2. Resource, Budget, and Risk Management
Resource Management: Identifying the necessary resources (personnel, equipment, budget, and materials) and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure their availability throughout the project.
Budget Management: Preparing project budgets, tracking project expenses, ensuring projects are executed within the allocated budget, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks and challenges that may impact project success, develop risk mitigation plans, and monitor their implementation.
Identifying and escalating project risks, blockers and issues to senior team members promptly.
3. Monitoring, Communication, and Stakeholder Management
Progress Monitoring: Regularly tracking and reporting on project progress, providing updates to stakeholders and management, promptly addressing any deviations from the plan, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Tracking project progress and assisting on key milestones and KPIs reporting.
Communication: Facilitating effective communication within the project team, across departments, to senior management, and with contracted parties.
Supporting communication with stakeholders and ensure clarity of project status.
Stakeholder Management: Cultivating positive relationships with project stakeholders by addressing their concerns and keeping them updated on project progress.
Organizing and facilitating meetings, preparing meeting agendas, and documenting follow-ups.
4. Process & Continuous Improvement (PMO Focus)
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance project planning processes and project delivery methods.
Continually assessing and enhancing project methodologies, workflows, and strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
Establish cross-functional project management tools and templates for multiple projects.
Ensuring adherence to company and Project Management Office processes, standards, and best practices.
What we’re looking for
An educational background indicating you’re able to level with our internal stakeholders (e.g. a background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering).
5-8 years of industry experience, ideally in a multidisciplinary technology driven environment meaning you know your way around system breakdowns, engineering processes and product launches.
We don’t believe in Project Management certifications per se. What we do believe in is pragmatism, continuous improvement and common sense.
Someone bringing an agile mindset, bringing the ability to adapt to changes throughout easily.
Being result oriented, and doing everything from that end: everything you do is a means to the result-end.
Someone taking ownership to the fullest.
You live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from Amsterdam (or willing to relocate).
