Overview:
Rise Interactive (http://www.riseinteractive.com), a rapidly growing full service interactive advertising agency, is looking to hire a Technical Project Manager into the Innovation team. We are seeking a detail-oriented, creative and highly motivated individual contributor that is excited about joining the Innovation department and contributing professionally to an entrepreneurial company with an expanding Fortune 500 client base. This is a hybrid position based in our global headquarters in the Chicago Loop (1 S. Wacker Drive).
Summary and Scope:
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and communicating on multiple projects in the Media Technology and Reporting department. As the Technical Project Manager, you will lead and move a team through client onboarding, custom data integration projects, and ongoing management requests for all digital media platforms. You will evolve, evangelize and ensure the Media Technology team executes Rise’s agile methodology consistently and embrace Agile values and principles. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating the challenges of complex technical projects as well as engaging with business-focused account teams and clients. The ideal candidate will excel in a cross-functional team environment and navigate all levels of the organization with exceptional communication skills and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day planning, coordination, and project management across the entirety of the client onboarding process and ongoing client maintenance for all media platforms
- Manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed project teams using keen leadership, effective communication, strong negotiation skills
- Provide status/tracking of project progress and manage project trade-offs across scope, timing, and resources and adjust priorities as needed
- Lead and/or contribute as an individual resource or subject matter specialist to cross-functional projects
- Facilitate technical resources to deliver technology solutions in support of key project initiatives by working closely with functional leaders, digital media SMEs, account managers and engineers
- Work within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and execute the project objectives and schedule
- Manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and magnitude
- Execute initiatives and drive accountability for the accomplishment of work deliverables and critical path milestones
- Provide transparency and visibility through appropriate communication mechanisms (e.g. dashboards, status meetings, etc.) to all stakeholders
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Required Skills:
- Proven Technical Project Management Experience
- Experiencing successfully leading in both traditional and agile project management methodologies.
- Experience with managing projects and teams through JIRA and/or Smartsheets, a plus
- Seasoned in managing analytics and data integration projects
- Ability to drive to solutions, and alternatives, reach a consensus, control scope creep, drive into technical detail, and match technical skills to technical needs.
- Proven track record of meeting resource planning and scheduling while still meeting or exceeding business requirements and goals
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to thrive and think creatively when given a wide degree of latitude to manage projects
- Excellent communicator and people leader
- Proactive self-starter who is comfortable working with cross-functional teams
