Technical Project Manager
Remote (U.S.) | Full-Time
Active Secret Clearance Required
About the Role
- Rackner is hiring a technical Project Manager to support a federal health–aligned mission portfolio. This role is for someone who is comfortable operating close to engineering teams and technical delivery, helping translate complex work into clear plans, execution paths, and outcomes.
- You’ll partner with engineers, architects, operations, and mission stakeholders to ensure technical initiatives are structured, well-communicated, and delivered predictably. This is not a purely administrative PM role — it requires comfort working in cloud, DevSecOps, data, and security-driven environments where priorities evolve and delivery matters.
What You’ll Do
- You will lead and support technical project delivery across cloud-native and modernization initiatives. Your work will include building and maintaining delivery plans, coordinating across technical teams, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and impacts.
- You’ll work closely with engineering and platform teams to align scope, timelines, and resources, support governance and reporting, and help teams navigate trade-offs in fast-moving technical environments. You’ll surface risks early, help drive issue resolution, and ensure delivery stays aligned with mission and operational goals.
- This role requires strong judgment, the ability to operate independently, and comfort engaging with both technical contributors and leadership.
What This Role Offers You
You’ll support meaningful, mission-driven work tied to national health outcomes. You’ll operate in a remote-first environment with clear expectations, strong collaboration, and a focus on steady execution over noise. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your technical program delivery experience while contributing to initiatives that matter.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Managing or supporting technical projects in cloud, software, data, cybersecurity, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

- Ability to manage schedules, risks, dependencies, and delivery priorities in complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Involved in federal health or public-sector modernization programs.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
- Working in DevSecOps, cloud-native, or security-focused delivery environments.
- Supporting distributed or remote technical teams.
