Technical Project Manager

We're looking for a proactive, delivery-focused Technical Project Manager to lead our Compliance engineering team and ensure we build the right solutions to meet regulatory requirements across our licensed markets.

The Role

You'll own the compliance product delivery end-to-end: understanding what our regulatory stakeholders need, translating those needs into clear technical requirements, and ensuring your team delivers on time.

What You'll Do

Product & Stakeholder Ownership

• Partner with Compliance, Responsible Gambling, AML, and Payments teams to understand their needs and regulatory requirements
• Translate complex compliance requirements into clear user stories and technical specs
• Investigate and resolve stakeholder escalations - understanding how the system works and finding solutions
• Own and prioritize the compliance backlog aligned with regulatory deadlines

Team Leadership

• Lead a small, stable remote team of 4 engineers (3 backend, 1 frontend) based in Spain
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and support career development
• Report directly to the CTO on delivery and team performance

Regulatory & Technical

• Maintain knowledge of MGA and other jurisdictional requirements
• Prepare for and lead technical audits (internal and MGA regulatory), ensuring the team is ready and documentation is in order
• Coordinate with compliance vendors (KYC, PEP screening, sanctions) - escalating issues and managing API changes

What You'll Bring

Required

• 3-5 years in technical project management, product management, or working closely with engineering teams
• iGaming industry experience with knowledge of online gaming regulations
• MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) regulatory experience
• Understanding of responsible gaming, KYC, and AML requirements
• Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis and impact assessments
• Professional English (written and verbal)
  

Nice to Have

• Estonian gaming license experience
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and cloud platforms

Location

 This role is based in Malta to work closely with Compliance, AML, and Player Protection stakeholders. You'll manage a remote engineering team in Spain.
