Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to join our engineering organization in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you will drive the development of products spanning hardware, software, and integrated systems, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle. As a key member of our engineering group, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Marketing teams to plan, manage schedules, and mitigate project risks eectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive Systems/Hardware/Software engineering planning processes on a yearly/quarterly basis.

Collaborate with engineering managers and technical leads to manage programs/projects at various lifecycle stages.

Scope projects, allocate resources, define milestones, and manage commitments.

Lead the delivery of complex hardware, firmware, and software products against program schedules, communicating technical risks and their impact.

Collaborate with the supply chain to mitigate risks associated with long lead components.

Manage deliverables from consultants and external vendors during design, development,

testing, validation, and sustaining phases of the product lifecycle.

Lead cross-functional teams, facilitate scrums, and resolve obstacles as they arise.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives.

Report project progress to managers and executives, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the highest possible quality releases.

Coordinate successful releases of cloud software and/or handos from engineering to manufacturing in collaboration with product and operations teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Physics, Engineering, or other related technical field. M.S. preferred.

8+ years of Program/Project Management experience, with a strong emphasis on vertically integrated products across hardware, firmware, and cloud software.

3+ years of industry experience in program/project management for scientific, analytical, or medical instrumentation products.

Proficiency in high-level project management and communication tools (e.g., Gantt charts, dashboards).

Experience with interdepartmental interactions, including Marketing, Engineering, and Operations.

Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) of Hardware/Software products and manufacturing hand-o processes.

Experience managing supplier relationships throughout the product development lifecycle.

Demonstrated proficiency and interest in coordinating hardware build schedules (EVT, DVT, PVT) with agile development processes across data analytics and subscription cloud software.

Familiarity with Agile principles and their application to product development.

Advanced oral and written communication skills.

Experience with developing and validating manufacturing processes is a plus. 

PMP/Agile certification is a plus.

An in-depth understanding of instrumentation/spectrometry/gas sensing technologies is a plus.

Salary & Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 - $185,000 USD. Your base salary range and the title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
