Salvo Software is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead and manage communication, product delivery, and team coordination for our automotive-embedded software development teams. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced, Agile-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Plan, execute, and oversee the delivery of embedded software projects across global teams in the US, Mexico, and India.
- Team Communication: Act as the primary communication bridge between distributed teams, ensuring clear alignment on objectives and deliverables.
- Technical Guidance: Leverage your understanding of embedded systems, communication protocols, and automotive diagnostics to provide leadership and support to technical teams.
- Agile Practices: Facilitate Agile processes such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain project momentum and adaptability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and external partners to gather requirements, define priorities, and align project goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor project milestones, timelines, and outcomes, delivering regular status reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of technical product owner experience, preferably in automotive or embedded systems development.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software development and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics standards, such as CAN, OBD-II, and UDS.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe are a plus.
