Overview
BARB is looking for Technology Producers! This is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of the game’s development.
They act as a bridge between the development team and other stakeholders, ensuring that the technical requirements are met, and the project progresses smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Manage and coordinate the technical aspects of game development projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Technical Oversight:
- Work closely with the development team to define technical requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Collaboration:
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different teams, such as artists, programmers, designers, and QA testers, to ensure smooth implementation of technical features.
- Milestone Planning:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to technical development.
- Risk Management:
- Identify technical risks and challenges, and proactively devise mitigation strategies to address them.
- Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Collaborate with the production team to define and manage the technical budget, as well as allocate and optimize resources effectively.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in game development, with a focus on production or project management role is required.
- Prior background in technical roles such as programmer, technical artist, or technical designer is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of game development processes, tools, and technologies across multiple platforms (PC, consoles, mobile).
- Project Management Skills:
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate teams, and deliver results within schedule and budget constraints.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify technical challenges, propose effective solutions, and make informed decisions.
- Adaptability:
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and quickly adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Attention to Detail:
- Meticulousness in reviewing technical documentation, identifying potential issues, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Leadership:
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, foster a positive work environment, and drive collaboration and innovation.
