Technical Producer

Overview

BARB is looking for Technology Producers! This is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of the game’s development.

They act as a bridge between the development team and other stakeholders, ensuring that the technical requirements are met, and the project progresses smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Project Management:
• Manage and coordinate the technical aspects of game development projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Technical Oversight:
• Work closely with the development team to define technical requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
• Collaboration:
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different teams, such as artists, programmers, designers, and QA testers, to ensure smooth implementation of technical features.
• Milestone Planning:
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to technical development.
• Risk Management:
• Identify technical risks and challenges, and proactively devise mitigation strategies to address them.
• Budgeting and Resource Management:
• Collaborate with the production team to define and manage the technical budget, as well as allocate and optimize resources effectively.

Requirements

• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in game development, with a focus on production or project management role is required.
• Prior background in technical roles such as programmer, technical artist, or technical designer is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of game development processes, tools, and technologies across multiple platforms (PC, consoles, mobile).
• Project Management Skills:
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate teams, and deliver results within schedule and budget constraints.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Problem-Solving:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify technical challenges, propose effective solutions, and make informed decisions.
