VERSES is searching for an innovative software engineering technical lead as part of our professional services team to help build and deploy products and solutions focused on our enterprise customers. This role will have a significant impact working on engineering projects and tasks that support our growing list of supply chain and logistics clients. As the technical lead, you will oversee the company’s technical team for customers and all projects they undertake, analyze briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, and develop work schedules. This is a player/coach position providing engineering knowledge and skill of your own, while leading and inspiring a team to reach their goals in technical projects.

Requirements

Essential Functions - a/k/a Your Mission

• Lead technical teams to deliver our products and services to clients on time and within budget
• Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to understand client needs and ensure technical solutions align with project goals
• Serve as a technical point of contact for clients and provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive the development and implementation of best practices, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations and technical consultations
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products and services remain competitive
• Mentor and coach technical team members to develop their skills and capabilities

Who You Are…

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience of 10 years; preferably in software development, professional services, or a related technical fields
• Deep technical expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure, and related technologies
• Strong leadership skills and experience leading technical teams
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and identify technical solutions to complex problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Experience integrating software solutions with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Experience with Data Lake solutions such as Snowflake or Databricks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
• Exemplary communication skills

• You have experience working on logistics, warehouses, supply chain, manufacturing, or retail products or you have a general understanding of theses industries
