The Role  

The Technical Coordination Team is part of the STEP Programme providing technical support and coordination services to UKIFS work packages and projects. The role holder will be a self-driven autonomous individual, able to thrive in a highly technical environment. The role holder will be expected to model the UKIFS values and work on several complex, high level -projects within UKIFS.

The role holder will act as an advisor to project managers, lead engineers and project team members specifically specialising in UKIFS document management processes and project SharePoint deployment. In addition, the role holder will be responsible for supporting and facilitating project activities liaising directly with the senior technical co-ordinators and project managers to ensure delivery milestones, and supporting in the facilitation of Plant Information Management System (PIMS) training courses for the STEP Programme.

Essential: 

  • Industry related qualifications or equivalent experience (HNC/Degree - ideally in STEM subject)
  • Demonstrable experience supporting projects working in a complex technical environment 
  • Expert in SharePoint deployment, build and configuration. 
  • IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access  
  • Excellent technical report writing skills  
  • Excellent people skills  
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.  Whilst not required at this time, there is a possibility of an SC Clearance being required in the future.  If a candidate already holds an SC clearance, that clearance can be transferred to UKIFS.
