Position Description

The Technical Communication Specialist supports the preparation, organization, and delivery of high-quality proposals and other written deliverables at Oklo. This role assists in the coordination of proposal activities across technical and business development teams to ensure timely, compliant submissions. Additional duties include managing training processes and materials and assisting with content development efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to clean energy innovation by helping secure new business opportunities and government contracts. This role is multifaceted, with room for growth, and specific tasks may depend on the individual’s experience.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in the development, formatting, and production of proposal documents, presentations, and supporting materials
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, regulatory, and communications, to ensure alignment and quality
  • Review solicitations (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) to identify compliance requirements, key deadlines, and deliverables
  • Assist in writing responses, as appropriate
  • Support the proposal team in scheduling, progress tracking, and version control
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of proposal content and supporting materials
  • Manage internal review cycles and support final proposal submissions
  • Assist in organizing and updating shared communication resources, including templates, reference materials, and content repositories used across the company
  • Coordinate technical communication training schedules, logistics, and communication with participants and trainers
  • Collect and incorporate feedback to improve training and delivery methods
  • Ensure all training content remains current, accurate, and aligned with internal processes and standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Word
  • Ability to read and understand complex engineering and regulatory documentation to ensure clear and concise communication
  • Strong organizational skills, project execution skills, and detail orientation

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Experience in proposal coordination or project support in a technical or regulated industry (energy, engineering, nuclear, or government contracting)

About Oklo travel requirements:

Oklo requires remote employees to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually, based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings.

 

About Oklo compensation:

Salary$80,000-$110,000
