Why this role matters:

As a Team Leader, AIT Engineering, you’ll lead the establishment and development of ICEYE’s Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) engineering capability in Tokyo while remaining hands-on in satellite integration and verification activities. You will guide engineers and technicians as they integrate RF subsystems, avionics, electronics, and power systems into operational satellite platforms. Your work will directly support the expansion of ICEYE’s SAR satellite constellation and help ensure reliable, high quality satellite builds that enable critical Earth Observation capabilities for governments, partners, and commercial users worldwide.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Tokyo AIT Engineering team while contributing directly to satellite integration and testing activities
• Oversee integration of RF subsystems, antennas, avionics, power systems, and electronics into higher level assemblies and full satellite builds
• Guide system level testing, troubleshooting, and verification across RF, electronics, communications, and software hardware interfaces
• Drive AIT documentation, configuration control, and continuous improvement of integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliability

Requirements

What we’re looking for

Must haves:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace, or a related field
• Hands-on experience integrating and testing complex electronics or satellite systems across multiple subsystems
• Strong technical background in RF systems, antennas, electronic boards, and RF measurement or test methodologies
• Proven ability to troubleshoot integration issues across electrical, RF, and software domains in a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Nice to haves:

• Experience with satellite AIT, aerospace qualification campaigns, or environmental testing such as vibration or thermal vacuum
• Experience working with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, or signal generators Experience with configuration management processes, production ramp-up environments, or automated test and EGSE setups
