At Whatfix, BDRs are dedicated to the initial stages of the sales cycle and serve as the primary representatives of Whatfix. This role requires a deeply motivated, proactive self-starter capable of guiding, overseeing, and fostering a team to discover and cultivate opportunities arising from Events Whatfix participates in.

Monitor metrics and help the team constantly improve by understanding their individual and collective performance


What do you get to do?

  • Identify qualified prospects and navigate company structures to identify decision-makers

  • Learn, leverage, and help evolve our demand-generation process

  • Generate appointments using proactive outbound prospecting

  • Use a combination of outreach mechanisms to nurture leads (Call, Email, and Marketing automation tools like outreach, LinkedIn Inmails, etc.)

  • Work closely with the Field Marketing team to identify various events, build a strategy on engagement and sessions, demonstrate Whatfix capabilities, and create qualified opportunities

  • Stakeholder management; you will be responsible for managing the relationship with the CXOs and top executives at various events either in person, online, or through Hybrid

  • Demonstrate the Whatfix demo to prospective customers at events and convey the value and ROI

  • Tie up leads that will turn into business through persistence

  • Demonstrate and teach strong selling and influencing skills

  • Hire, mentor, coach and train current and incoming Business Development Representatives to meet or exceed their quota

  • Start as a people coach role and pick up the team's target in 3-6 months' time

  • Expertise in building and cultivating prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting first level qualifications in order to move opportunities into the sales funnel

  • Conducting advanced discoveries - Perform thorough needs assessment and identify prospects' pain points, impact and build DAP awareness

  • Excellent nurture skills - building sense of urgency for DAP

  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in the Salesforce

  • Monitor metrics and help the team constantly improve by understanding their individual and collective performance

 

What you need to have/ bring to the table:

  • 6+ years experience in Business/Sales Development with a focus on Outbound and at least 2 years of experience of directly managing a team of SDR/BDRs

  • Prior experience participating in sales/demand generation events

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening)

  • Experience of methods of outreach (inc. written and phone based)

  • Tools - Salesforce, Outreach/Zoom Info/ LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Experience with conflict resolution and matrix relationships

  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Report on sales activity, call metrics and forecast to leadership

  • North America/EMEA territory experience
