We are currently searching for an exceptional Team Lead to join our team in Corona, CA. The Team Lead for Buff and Polish will coordinate the activities of the operators within an assigned work cell/s to ensure daily productivity goals are met. Team Leads are responsible for assisting with meeting quality & production goals and enforce safe work practices for assigned work cell/s. Line Coordinators will assist in training new and existing employees. Supplement the production line when required.  Proactively creating an environment where safety/quality standards are a priority.  

Essential Functions:

  • Audit/verify proper PPEs are being utilized for assigned group
  • Communicate safety updates and toolbox topics to assigned group
  • Report all safety issues to Production Supervisor
  • Assist with accident investigations
  • Escalate issues to Production Supervisor
  • Respond to Operator alerts within assigned work cell - Standard Work/non-conformance
  • Audit line-side material - ensure min/max is maintained for assigned work cell
  • Identify and report (to Production Supervisor) Team opportunities for improvement and Prod, Safety, Quality, and Training,
  • Report to and assist the Production Supervisor in resolving discrepancies and production issues. Follow up and correct problems.
  • Records issue and facilitate resolution or escalate to Supervisor.
  • Direct Team Members to accomplish the department’s daily and weekly goals
  • Generate reports using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint regarding downtime, production, training, and inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years operations /manufacturing experience preferable in Fender
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate in English & Spanish preferred
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to lead others for improved performance
  • Demonstrated job knowledge - ability to perform all jobs in department
  • Demonstrates company values always; leads by example
