The Mission of the AIT Engineer

ICEYE is seeking an AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) Engineering Team Leader to establish and lead the AIT Engineering function at our Athens location. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for an engineer with strong expertise in RF systems, electronics, and software, who is ready to take on team leadership responsibilities while continuing to contribute directly to AIT activities.

Requirements

Role-specific Competences 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Aerospace, or a related field.
  • Strong technical background in RF systems, antennas, electronic boards, and/or RF test methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with satellite or complex electronics integration and testing, ideally across multiple subsystems.
  • Solid understanding of system engineering fundamentals, including power systems, avionics, communications, and software–hardware interfaces.
  • Experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and RF measurement tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues across electrical, RF, and software domains during integration and system testing.
  • Strong documentation skills, including writing test procedures, integration instructions, and test reports.
  • Experience working with configuration management processes (ECOs, deviations, waivers, version control).
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on work on the production floor, including assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Experience with satellite AIT, space hardware, or aerospace qualification campaigns.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing (vibration, thermal vacuum, EMC, anechoic RF testing).
  • Experience developing or maintaining EGSE/MGSE, automated test scripts, or hardware test setups.
  • Prior exposure to Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or production ramp-up environments.
  • Experience working with ERP, MES, or test data management tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential mentoring engineers, coordinating tasks, or leading technical work packages.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Production, Test, Systems).
  • Fluent in English; ability to work in an international, fast-paced environment.
