Team Lead Accounting (m/f/x)
TLDR
Lead and scale the Accounting function, optimizing processes and driving cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency and control in a fast-growing fintech environment.
- Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function, covering German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements
- Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control
- Own and drive cross-functional accounting projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., auditors, tax advisors), and continuously improve the accounting process landscape
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements
- Contribute to the design of booking logic and posting patterns within our in-house core banking system, ensuring accurate and scalable accounting treatment
- Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and in handling tax-related matters
- Proven hands-on experience in preparing (consolidated) annual financial statements and managing the external audit process
- Solid knowledge of tax-relevant accounting topics, e.g., VAT and related reporting requirements.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a structured, precise working style and strong problem-solving skills
- Business-fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
