Summary:
We are a well-established, highly profitable regional CPA firm seeking a Tax Senior to join our growing team. This role focuses on R&D tax credit services within our Specialty Tax Services group. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, direct, and complete R&D tax credit projects while managing budgets and timelines.
- Deliver R&D Tax Credit services including tax form preparation and review, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, and drafting client correspondence.
- Prepare and review R&D tax credit calculations and conduct technical interviews with clients.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Support tax planning, consulting, and compliance services across diverse industry groups.
- Develop and supervise staff, assist in client management, and contribute to practice development activities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in public accounting or R&D tax credit consultancy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA license or actively working toward CPA certification.
- Broad exposure to multistate credits and incentives, ideally Research and Development tax credits.
- Foundational knowledge of US GAAP, general accounting principles, tax compliance (including entity and individual returns), and tax research.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with both SEC and closely held clients across diverse industries.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and supervise junior staff.
