Job Description:
Staff4Me is looking for a knowledgeable Tax Preparer with a focus on business tax returns, particularly for partnerships and corporations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing excellent customer service to clients. Ideal candidates will have around two years of direct experience in business tax preparation and will be adept with tax software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file business tax returns, including Form 1065 for partnerships and Form 1120 for corporations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary tax documents and clarify any concerns related to their business tax situations.
• Utilize tax software for the preparation and analysis of tax returns, ensuring all calculations are accurate.
• Provide insights to clients on tax implications, deductions, and strategies to optimize their tax positions.
• Review prior year returns and apply applicable changes to current filings.
• Maintain organized records of all financial statements, tax documents, and communications with clients.
• Work closely with other members of the tax team to ensure deadlines are met and returns are filed on time.

• Proficient in using tax preparation software, particularly for business tax filings.
• Strong understanding of relevant tax laws, regulations, and compliance issues.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Able to analyze financial information and provide actionable tax advice.

Work Schedule:

• Flexible remote position, with expected core hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
