Primary Purpose:

We’re seeking a Tax Manager who will work closely with clients on complex tax matters, lead and mentor staff, and drive client relationships that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage and review complex multi-state business, fiduciary, and individual tax returns.
• Provide proactive tax planning and identify opportunities for clients.
• Lead, train, and mentor staff while overseeing daily workflow and performance.
• Consult and research on federal, state, and local tax issues; respond to IRS and state inquiries.
• Ensure compliance by preparing and filing federal, state, and local returns, extensions, and payments.
• Analyze tax implications of mergers and acquisitions and recommend strategies for savings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service.
• Support business development through networking and marketing activities.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of public accounting experience, focused on complex tax preparation and review (corporate, partnerships, LLCs, and individuals).
•  CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH ProSystem FX) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Our firm uses the CCH Axcess Suite
• Strong technical knowledge of tax planning and strategy.
• Ability to research and resolve complex tax issues.
• Experience supervising and mentoring staff.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, client-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
