Job Purpose:

Business partner with the different francaphone (French speaking) entities to support on tax matter. The tax manager will work closely with the country finance team and support include:

  • Quarterly tax reporting – assist with queries on tax reporting,
  • Tax dispute and controversy – assist with guidance and strategy and reporting on tax exposure
  • Transfer pricing – prepare documentation for local file and tax audits

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Tax Reporting

  • On-time reporting of francophone entities on TaxProof

2. Tax dispute and controversy

  • Detailed tax register on uncertain tax position

3. Transfer pricing

  • Finalization of transfer pricing local file

 

Key Challenges:

  • Collaborating with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to optimize tax efficiency
  • Ability to Interpret complex tax laws, analyzing financial statements, and making informed tax-related decisions
  • Supporting and coaching local teams, assisting on tax audits, and providing expert guidance on tax matters
  • Ability to look beyond financial figures, understand the industry/business risk, and give a solid balanced opinion
  • Virtual working across large geography, different businesses, and across different cultures

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • Accounting degree with tax as subject
  • Post grad in taxation (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pure tax role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English & French
  • Strong interpersonal
  • Self-organized with ability to manage multiple tasks under business pressure within deadlines.
  • Highly skilled in MS office 365 (excel, outlook, Teams and PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP, SAC, oracle BI and SGR is a plus
