Description
GoGlobal is seeking an experienced Mexican Tax Expert to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in direct and indirect taxes, hold relevant certifications as a tax professional in Mexico (e.g., Contador Público Certificado, or equivalent), and have a proven track record of delivering tax services. This role involves providing tax compliance and advisory services to external clients and internal company, ensuring compliance with all Mexican tax regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare, review, and ensure timely filing of tax compliance reports for direct taxes (ISR) and indirect taxes (IVA, IEPS).
- Provide expert guidance on tax planning, compliance, and strategies to optimize tax efficiency while complying with Mexican tax laws.
- Stay up to date with changes in Mexican tax legislation and regulations, proactively informing clients of potential impacts.
- Act as a liaison with tax authorities on behalf of clients and internal company during audits, inquiries, or disputes.
- Perform periodic reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting for all tax-related transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support broader financial compliance and advisory projects.
- Deliver exceptional client service by addressing inquiries, providing actionable insights, and building strong relationships.
Requirements
- Relevant tax certifications in Mexico, such as Contador Público Certificado (CPC), or equivalent (highly valued).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mexican tax compliance, including both direct and indirect taxes.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including ISR, IVA, and IEPS.
- Experience working in a BPO or consulting environment is highly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax-related software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
