Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant will help improve tax preparation workflows and assist with quality assurance tasks while communicating with firm leadership in Orlando, FL. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently
• Utilize Canopy, Drake, UltraTax, and other Thomson Reuters tax software on a regular basis
• Review and monitor tax work prepared by three remote accounting team members located overseas
• Support workflow management to maintain filing deadlines and regulatory compliance
• Follow federal and state tax regulations while ensuring quality control standards
• Coordinate with firm leadership in the Orlando, FL hybrid office environment
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and service quality
• Act as a technical support resource within the tax department

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax settings
• Strong hands-on experience with Canopy, Drake, UltraTax, and Thomson Reuters platforms
• Experience reviewing and overseeing work from remote or offshore team members
• Demonstrated strength in analytics, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and seasonal tax deadlines
• CPA preferred but not mandatory depending on experience
