Tavern on the Tee Seasonal Support (2025 003830)

Middlebury College is searching for staff to perform a variety of supportive functions within The Tavern on the Tee food and beverage service at The Ralph Myhre Golf Course. 

The employee in this position will perform a wide variety of tasks each day to support smooth functioning of the food and beverage service business.  This requires flexibility, enthusiasm and a desire to work with a team.  We are happy to train folks with the right attitude.   

This is a part time, non-benefits eligible, hourly position. The hourly rate for this position is $16.94.

Core Responsibilities:

• Cleans serving area throughout and after each meal.
• Restocks dispensers and other supplies.
• Supports receiving and storage of daily deliveries, restocks displays for self-service snacks and beverages.
• Busses and wipes tables to support service.
• Support food delivery to customers during peak service times.
• May assist with simple food preparation. For example: peeling and cutting vegetables or assisting in making sandwiches, dressings, etc.
• Processes soiled dishes, glassware and silverware, pots and pans per instructions.
• Must follow sanitation guidelines. Reload chemicals and dish soap as needed.
• Maintains dish room equipment and reports malfunctions to Management.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen and dish room area.
• Rinse all trash cans and compost containers and ensure they are properly and safely stored.

Requirements

• Requires practice of proper health sanitation and good math skills, i.e. ability to make change.

• Requires frequent and repetitive bending, reaching, twisting and overhead reaching.
• Requires frequent walking and long periods of time standing.
• Must physically be able to lift 10-30 lbs. numerous times each day.

• Must be able to lift full glass racks and coffee racks above waist level.
• Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment.
