As the Talent & Culture (HR) Generalist at FormAssembly, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering a consistent, thoughtful experience for ~130 team members, from onboarding and benefits coordination to offboarding and day-to-day people operations. You’ll be a critical part of a lean and collaborative HR team where each person has real ownership and influence in shaping how we work.

This position reports to the Head of Talent & Culture and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Support culture and connection
Partner with Employee Resource Group (ERG) leaders to coordinate cultural engagement initiatives and team-building opportunities across the company. Provide structure, logistics, and support to keep ERG programs visible and impactful.

Be a benefits liaison
Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions. Coordinate with brokers and vendors to ensure clear, timely, and consistent information. Help guide our annual Open Enrollment process in partnership with the Head of Talent & Culture.

Support learning and career development
Help drive learning programs across the org, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs), internal tools like LinkedIn Learning, and opportunities for career conversations.

Drive HR operational excellence
Own the day-to-day operations of our HRIS (Paylocity), including employee lifecycle changes, data accuracy, and reporting. Look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce administrative lift across systems and workflows.

Lead onboarding & offboarding
Ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for new hires and thoughtful, coordinated offboarding. Partner with IT, Finance, and hiring managers to streamline processes and ensure clarity at every step.

Support engagement and employee experience
Coordinate employee engagement surveys and help drive follow-up actions that improve connection, satisfaction, and inclusion. Collaborate with the Head of Talent & Culture on people programs that reflect employee feedback and business needs.

Jump into special projects
Pitch in on cross-functional projects like platform improvements, in-person events, and policy/process rollouts. In a small and nimble team, everyone contributes to moving work forward.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1–2 years in a generalist, HR coordinator, or HR operations role
  • 1+ year of experience supporting benefits administration or vendor relationships (Annual Open Enrollment experience a plus)
  • Foundational knowledge of core HR compliance areas (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO-1, I-9, required postings), and interest in staying informed on employment law updates
  • Comfortable working on small teams with broad exposure and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality
  • Organized, curious, and proactive. You enjoy improving processes and solving problems
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems (we use Paylocity, Lattice, and our own internal platform)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee data

Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
