Voyago, Transdev Ontario is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the hiring efforts for a brand-new Student Transportation division in Kingston, Ontario.

Your Role:

Reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be the driving force behind staffing a successful start-up for the new school year. You will partner with leadership to understand recruitment needs, define job requirements, and ensure alignment with company policies and current legislation. You will own the full recruitment cycle, from posting job ads and sourcing candidates to securing top talent and tracking progress in our Applicant Tracking System.

This is not a remote opportunity, candidate must commit to working onsite in a Kingston location, with hybrid options possible after six months of proven success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Post all job opportunities and drive high-volume recruitment to ensure all positions are filled efficiently.
  • Interview candidates, maintain accurate databases, and provide timely follow-up.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics and progress regularly, providing analytical insights to support leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute innovative social media and advertising strategies to attract candidates.
  • Contribute to a positive new hire experience by staying connected throughout onboarding and beyond.
  • Gather, audit, and manage all required documentation during hiring and onboarding.
  • Work closely with Operations, Training, and other teams to coordinate a smooth, start-up-specific recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Build local community connections and partnerships to support recruitment efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative tasks, improve processes, and enhance recruitment outcomes.
  • Be proactive in recommending and implementing creative approaches to attract talent for a new division launch.

Requirements

Your Profile:

  • You have post-secondary education in Human Resources, Recruitment or equivalent work experience
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You posses a goal-oriented attitude
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • You have the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time
  • You are able to work independently with minimal direction
  • You posses enhanced organizational and time management skills
  • You bring your familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Your ADP software experience would be an asset
  • You have very strong Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You have experience with full-cycle recruitment (posting, screening, interviewing, job offer, onboarding)
  • You have the ability to source candidates via multiple channels (grassroot recruitment, social media, etc)
  • You are creative in your approach to promoting job opportunities
  • You are able to travel as required throughout the Southwestern & Central Ontario regions as required
  • You have sound knowledge of Kitchener, Waterloo, Stratford and Central Ontario regions
  • You have a clean drivers abstract and posses a minimum full G licence
  • You posses a clear criminal record search
  • You have the ability to build community connections in the region
  • Your past experience with mass hiring in a short time frame, especially during a new start up would be a valuable asset
  • You are available to work on-site in Kingston as this is not a remote position
