We are seeking an experienced, motivated and resourceful Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage the end-to-end hiring process. You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates to fill open roles while ensuring a positive candidate experience and alignment with company culture and objectives.

This position is based in Japan, and is fully remote. Applicants must have full working rights for Japan. 

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Source potential candidates through online platforms, job boards, networking, and referrals.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Coordinate interview schedules, assessments, and follow-up communication.
  • Manage the offer process including negotiations, reference checks, and onboarding coordination.
  • Maintain candidate pipeline and applicant tracking system (ATS) records.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates to ensure a positive experience.
  • Monitor, improve and report recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality of hire).
  • Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and recruitment best practices.

This is an exciting period of growth in the APAC region with a strong focus on growing our presence in Japan. Our APAC team is small (2) forming part of a larger global talent acquisition team whom are segmented into service lines. This role will focus on our Create Service Line which would include both Software Engineering, Art, and Production roles. 

We have a strong preference for the following:

  • Bi-lingual - Japanese and English fluency
  • Previous experience recruiting in Video Games, Software Engineering or Creative Industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist (in-house or agency).
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment and sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HR databases, ATS (Workable, SmartRecruiters), and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Fluent in English and Japanese, with proficiency in another Asian language (preferably Mandarin).
