Upstream Rehabilitation is looking for a Talent Acquisition Sourcer to join our team!

The Sourcer is a key member of the Talent Acquisition team responsible for proactively identifying and engaging qualified professionals for clinical and administrative assigned roles. This role primarily supports hiring Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants by leveraging market intelligence, workforce trends, and advanced sourcing techniques. 

This position influences the recruiting and sourcing strategy by partnering with business leaders, recruiters, and HR to understand workforce needs and execute sourcing strategies that align with the company’s mission and long-term growth.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with recruiters and TA Managers to understand current and forecasted staffing needs for Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs). 
  • Source active and passive candidates using a variety of methods, including LinkedIn, job boards, resume databases, professional associations, and social media. 
  • Conduct research and market analysis to inform sourcing strategies and provide talent insights that drive decision-making. 
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline of qualified PT and PTA candidates across multiple regions by understanding candidate needs and building relationships  
  • Conduct initial outreach and screening calls to assess candidate fit and interest. 
  • Develop and maintain sourcing metrics and reporting to track effectiveness of strategies. 
  • Stay up to date on state licensure requirements and local market trends related to Physical Therapy. 
  • Represent the company at career fairs, virtual events, and other industry networking opportunities. 
  • Partner with the employer branding team to create compelling messaging and content for outreach. 
  • Ensure all candidate data and communications are accurately tracked in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and CRM. 
  • Occasional travel is required for training or other work-related duties. 

Qualifications 

Education and/or Experience:   

  • Required 
    • Bachelor’s degree required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting or industry experience, including direct experience in a comparable role, may be considered in lieu of formal education. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage candidates professionally. 
    • High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. 
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office. 
    • High level of interest in data and technology.   
  • Preferred 
    • 1–4 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, sales, customer service, or a related role. 
    • 1 year of university/campus recruitment (e.g., DPT or PTA programs). 
    • Previous experience recruiting for outpatient physical therapy, rehabilitation, or allied health services. 
    • Specialized Recruiting Certifications (e.g., Certified Healthcare Recruiter – CHR). 

Competencies 

  • Subject Matter Expert in Sourcing (or the ability to develop into one) 
  • Strong understanding of advanced sourcing techniques, as well as recruiting and HR concepts, policies, and procedures 
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare labor markets and workforce trends (or the ability to learn quickly) 
  • Proficiency in recruitment software and applicant tracking systems 
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information 
  • Sound judgment and ability to anticipate needs and problems 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
