Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Leader is a hands-on recruiting leader responsible for building and executing a best-in-class recruiting program that ensures every role at Firstup is filled by strong-fit, high-readiness talent. This person will both lead the recruiting function and directly recruit for key roles. They will serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Leadership Team, balancing strategic workforce planning, recruiting execution, and process innovation to help scale the company efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead a company-wide recruiting strategy that aligns with business priorities, ensuring timely and high-quality hires across all teams and geographies.
Personally own and lead full-cycle recruiting for key and leadership-level roles, ensuring high-caliber, high-readiness hires.
Partner with the ELT and Finance to manage the headcount plan, aligning hiring priorities, budgets, and approvals to business needs.
Manage, coach, and develop the recruiting team, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Build scalable and consistent recruiting programs, processes, and tools that deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Oversee and optimize the recruiting systems and technology to increase recruiter productivity and data accuracy.
Lead talent marketing and employer branding efforts to attract diverse, high-impact talent globally.
Partner closely with the People and Finance teams on forecasting, workforce planning, budget tracking, and onboarding.
Provide ongoing recruiting insights and reporting, including hiring velocity, cost per hire, and candidate quality metrics.
Champion Firstup’s mission and culture throughout the candidate experience, ensuring every hire strengthens the organization’s values and future success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including 2+ years managing a high-performing recruiting program.
Proven success in recruiting for executive and leadership roles within high-growth SaaS or technology companies, with a track record of closing top talent.
Demonstrated ability to manage the full recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing and assessment through offer negotiation, for multiple, concurrent senior-level searches.
Strong experience partnering with senior executives and Finance on workforce planning, forecasting, and budget management.
Expertise in ATS and sourcing tools (Lever preferred), and proficiency in using recruiting technology and analytics tools.
Track record of leading talent acquisition programs that improve hiring efficiency, quality of hire, and candidate experience.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influence skills across all levels of the organization.
Experience leading employer branding and talent marketing initiatives.
Firstup expects the base salary for this role to be between $140,000-$165,000. The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
