About the Role  

The Senior Art Director is responsible for the creative output, with oversight of creative processes; the ideation, presentation and execution of client branding and marketing communications campaigns; the profitability and creative quality of client projects, and the operational readiness of the creative team, all in fulfillment of our brand promise to our clients, including:

  • Generate ideas and see them through to completion after understanding client requirements.
  • Work in teams both internal and external to develop creative outputs and thereafter discussing the same with the client
  • Work with external agencies like producers, photographers, editors
  • Ensuring that our high quality of creative and production is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards for him/herself and others on the team
  • Listening, asking, hearing, prioritizing and translating client situation, marketing goals and information into strategic brand/ campaign/ project concepts, voice, messages and rationales
  • Collaborating and contributing to the creative process as a leader of a creative team, and as a member of the account team
  • Co-leading the unified creative/account management process in order to execute on client projects
  • Ensuring the professional development and readiness of the creative team

What You’ll Do 

  • Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and creative quality 
  • Set expectations and standards (build a culture) for creative team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development
  • Study the creative marketplace, assessing where Ogilvy’s work stands against competitors’, as well as our clients’ competitors’ creative work
  • Drive constant improvement in Ogilvy’s creative quality and capabilities
  • Valued as routine contributor of informed, analytical and strategic contributions to new program development / business opportunities
  • Assure that timely and informative communication takes place between the creative function and account team and clients
  • Contribute to the strategic and creative development of the agency’s marketing and branding efforts for new business development

What You’ll Need  

  • Knowledge of and experience with production including digital, video, photography, event and print/collateral
  •   Ability to play a strategic role on account teams – a thinker, not just a doer
  •  Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both creative and account teams
  •   7+ years experience, 2+ years in a leadership position
