In this role, you will work closely with an assigned team member to support, troubleshoot, and enhance automated and manual testing efforts across networking and security components. You will focus on identifying failures in test pipelines, improving test automation reliability, and validating network-related scenarios across multiple operating systems. This role offers deep hands-on exposure to system-level networking, security protocols, and Windows networking internals while contributing to highly reliable automation suites used at scale.
Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve failures in automated test pipelines across multiple projects
Modify, enhance, and stabilize test automation covering networking and network security scenarios
Execute periodic manual testing for VPN connections, IPSec security tunnels, and Windows Subsystem for Linux components
Analyze failures related to network protocols and operating system behavior
Improve automation reliability by adding new test cases and stabilizing existing ones
Collaborate with team members to investigate regressions and validate fixes
Use system-level debugging tools to diagnose complex networking and OS-level issues
Document findings, test results, and automation improvements clearly and consistently
5+ years of experience in C/C++ systems development
Strong experience working with Windows operating systems (minimum 3 years)
Hands-on experience with networking protocols such as IPSec, VPN technologies, TCP, and QUIC (minimum 2 years)
Experience modifying and maintaining test automation frameworks
Proficiency with scripting and configuration using PowerShell and YAML
Experience working across both Windows and Linux environments
Strong debugging skills using tools such as Windows Debugger, Wireshark, gdb, and tcpdump
Ability to analyze low-level system and networking behavior to identify root causes
Experience with software-defined networking concepts
Background in networking security or transport-level protocols
Experience working with large-scale or enterprise-level test automation systems
Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines and automated test gating
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in performance- or reliability-sensitive systems
Compensation Information
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market.
For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
