Role Overview

The Systems Administration Intern is a junior, learning-oriented role designed to support the Systems team in day-to-day operational tasks while gaining hands-on experience in real production environments.

The intern will work under the supervision of the Head of Systems Administration and the Systems Administrator, supporting infrastructure operations, internal IT services, and basic systems administration activities across on-premise and cloud environments.

This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to build a solid foundation in systems administration within a professional, high-availability software environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • The intern will support the Systems team in the administration of internal company machines, including basic setup, configuration, and user support tasks.

  • Responsibilities include assisting with access management activities such as VPN access, user permissions, and corporate email account administration.

  • You will help monitor systems and infrastructure, supporting routine checks, alerts review, and basic troubleshooting under supervision.

  • The role includes assisting with backup operations, such as verification checks and support during restore tests.

  • You will support documentation activities related to systems, procedures, and internal IT processes.

  • The intern may assist with basic tasks related to Linux servers, virtual machines, and network environments, always under guidance and with progressive responsibility.

  • Support may also be provided in internal IT support activities (second-level user support escalation), ticket tracking, and coordination with senior team members.

Learning & Development Scope

During the internship, you will be exposed to real-world systems administration practices, including virtualization environments, Linux systems, security processes, and infrastructure operations.

The role is designed to progressively increase responsibility based on performance, learning curve, and team needs, with the possibility of future incorporation into the team if mutual expectations are met.

Required Profile

  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree or vocational training program related to Computer Science, Systems Administration, IT, Telecommunications, or similar fields.

  • Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows and/or Linux) and general IT concepts.

  • A strong interest in systems administration, infrastructure, and technology operations.

  • No prior professional experience is required, although previous internships or practical training will be positively valued.
