SIXGEN is looking for a Systems Engineer with a diverse set of skills and technical knowledge with the ability to respond and adapt to unique requirements. Our selected candidate will be engineering projects that will develop and implement next-generation IT tools, systems, and capabilities to help revolutionize the cyber battlefield and ensure the superiority of our cyber forces over our adversaries. As well as coordinating with external entities, working  with our administrators and engineers to ensure ample support, working  with developers to build and modify the required software, supporting testers to ensure the mission effect is achieved, and utilizing their technical expertise throughout the entire process to ensure everything is accomplished in a sound and secure manner.

Position Overview: The candidate will assume end-to-end responsibility for applied research and cyber capability development projects, ensuring successful execution from concept through implementation

  • Evaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process
  • Develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts
  • Communicate with other program personnel, Government overseers, and senior executives
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • Provide engineering guidance to technical staff and establishes effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
  • Deliver briefings on complex topics to groups, which may include high-level decision makers
  • Work complex research projects as senior contributors and as part of an integrated research team

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering or related discipline (Four years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree)
  • Active CISSP, CASP+CE, CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification)

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to Cloud/AWS
  • An engineering-driven problem solver who can step into a project, quickly assess the situation, and design practical, effective solutions
  • Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF)
  • Able to build systems from the ground up – network architecture/systems engineering

 

Salary Band; $201,000 - $240,000
