Systems Engineer

Responsible for streamlining requirements management processes and generating systems engineering workflows and procedures. Define, implement and maintain the projects framework and infrastructure in Polarion requirements management tool and MagicDraw. Evaluate existing systems tools and provide technical direction to IT support team. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to coach them and provide the necessary infrastructure and tailoring for their needs in Polarion and MagicDraw. Collaborate in defining the company’s systems engineering process, procedures, templates, and best practices. Effectively collaborate with customers and ensure continuous delivery of quality systems work products. Work with internal requirement owners to ensure that all requirements are reviewed, accepted and meet quality standards.  Work with engineers to define outcome metrics and success criteria. Identify and act on opportunities to improve system processes and increase efficiency. Provide Polarion and MagicDraw training and user support for different groups. Automate engineering workflow by using API. Position is fixed based in Pittsburg, PA; however, telecommuting permitted up to three (3) days per week. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related occupation.  Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Working in systems engineering involving infrastructure development and quality metrics measurement. Experience with product development. Utilizing management tools, JIRA or Polarian. Using traditional and modern systems engineering principles and techniques such as AGILE or V model. Generating reports, metrics and KPIs from large datasets.  Experience with programming languages such as Java and C#. 40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
