We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong traditional engineering background and expertise in security, cryptography, and systems design. This role offers the opportunity to lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a critical role in developing high-assurance, certified systems and products.

Requirements

• • Lead and contribute to systems engineering activities across the full project lifecycle.

  • Apply expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including TLS (Transport Layer Security) and certificate/key management.

  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches to support system design and analysis.

  • Implement and monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) practices to track project performance.

  • Provide technical leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and security requirements.

  • Work on the development of products with NSA Approved Type 1 certification or similar security certifications.

  • Collaborate closely with Information Assurance, Security, and Cryptography teams.

  Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.

  • Strong traditional engineering background.

  • In-depth knowledge of PKI, TLS, and certificate/key management.

  • Hands-on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.

  • Familiarity with EVM (Earned Value Management).

  • Demonstrated leadership experience (teams and/or projects).

  • Strong expertise in systems engineering, information assurance, security, and cryptography.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.

  Nice-to-Have (Preferred) Certifications:

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

  • Security+

  • Networking+

  Soft Skills (Must-Have):

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

  Deal Breakers (Would Not Consider):

  • Candidates without U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
