As a System and Application Engineer in the IPS team, you will play a key role in enabling successful design-ins of Renesas products. You will develop reference designs, support customers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, simulate, optimize, and validate inductive position sensor modules.
· Provide technical support to customers from concept and debugging to prototype.
· Perform measurements and tests using lab equipment and test benches.
· Create PCB layouts for sensor demonstrators (experience in Altium is mandatory).
· Prepare technical documentation (application notes, design guides).
· Develop and maintain software tools for demonstrators and production programmers.
· Support simulation of inductive sensor elements using an in-house tool.
· Work closely with Product Management and Marketing.
· Participate in customer meetings and occasional business trips.
· Contribute to new feature development and continuous improvement.
· Bachelor’s with up to 2 years of experience or a recent Master’s degree with 0 experience in Electronics, Electromechanics, or related field.
· Proficiency in PCB design and layout; Altium experience is mandatory.
· Comfortable in using electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators).
· Experienced in soldering (SMT and THT)
· Programming skills in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW
· 3D design experience is an advantage (Solid Works)
· Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
· Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Skills
· Experience in automotive or industrial sensor applications.
· Understanding of functional safety requirements.
· Agile mindset and proactive information sharing.
