In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of diverse IT infrastructures across dynamic client environments. You will play a key part in planning and deploying technical projects, ensuring stable systems, and delivering high-quality solutions that align with evolving business needs. This position offers a mix of remote and on-site work, giving you exposure to a wide range of technologies and environments. You will collaborate closely with technical teams to build and optimize cloud, network, and server infrastructures while maintaining exceptional client communication. The role is ideal for a skilled engineer who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys combining hands-on technical execution with strategic problem solving.
· Lead project deployments, implementing advanced technical solutions, migrations, and service modifications.
· Provide high-quality remote and on-site support, ensuring clear communication on progress, issues, and scope changes.
· Document infrastructure changes and prepare environments for stable post-implementation support.
· Build and configure servers, virtual machines, cloud environments, GPOs, and identity services including AAD and Entra Connect.
· Design and troubleshoot networks, including firewalls, switches, wireless configurations, and Active Directory architectures.
· Deploy high-availability infrastructures such as clustering, virtualization, and resilient networking.
· Implement backup and recovery technologies and contribute to project planning with insights and recommendations.
· Maintain 80 percent billable utilization and provide responsive, client-focused service across assigned engagements.
Requirements
· 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience directly aligned with system engineering responsibilities.
· Strong expertise in Windows configurations, DNS, networking (physical and virtual), virtualization, Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI.
· Working knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft 365 licensing, configurations, and best practices.
· Ability to design and troubleshoot complex infrastructures, execute migrations, and adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support clients professionally.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
· Physical ability to handle equipment and travel to client sites as needed; valid driver’s license required.
· Bonus skills include technical certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, ITIL), MSP experience, and familiarity with tools such as ConnectWise or SCCM.
