About the position:

We are looking for a colleague to join our MasterFamily projectteam, who would like to work in an international environment, where they can use their English and German language skills on a daily basis. The MasterFamily applications are all developed and marketed by T-Systems, have been on the market for more than 30 years, and serve a very broad enterprise customer base worldwide. The main focus for our new colleague will be ImageMaster, TypeMaster and NormMaster.


Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and administer NormMaster, TypeMaster, and ImageMaster components in customer environments.
  • Plan, coordinate, consult, and implement migrations, including moving environments and migrating data.
  • Plan and execute changes such as release updates, fix deployments, and other system modifications.
  • Respond to Incidents and Service Requests, including troubleshooting issues and applying configuration changes.
  • Discuss requirements and provide consulting to customers.
  • Perform testing (manual and automated) to ensure system reliability and quality.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and changes.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (e.g., RHEL, SLES) and Shell scripting.
  • Experience with Databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL preferred) and SQL.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including network and storage components.
  • Familiarity with SSL/TLS and certificate handling.
  • Knowledge of Apache httpd and SSO technologies (SAML2, OpenIDC).
  • Strong sense of quality and testing mindset; open to learning new technologies.
  • Monitoring and log analysis tools
  • Good language skills in English AND in German
  •  Willingness to communicate with customers (mainly operations and support).

 

Nice to have

  • Basic experience with Java and Apache Tomcat.
  • API testing tools (e.g., Postman or similar).
  • Containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Version control systems: Git.
