VAM Systems is currently looking for System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Educational Qualification & Certifications:
- Must have B.Sc. degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Professional certification is preferable (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and AWS certified)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience in system administration and technical support.
Required Skills:
- Good communication skills.
- Must be Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) and preferably Arabic.
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude.
- Experience Servers, Storage devices and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery (Preferable).
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Managing on-premises and cloud servers and storages.
- Managing and maintaining Active Directory.
- Managing and maintaining Windows & Linux server OS.
- Managing Microsoft Office365 Admin account.
- Managing AWS accounts.
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and antivirus server.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Setting up new users and giving them access to the intranet
- Managing and maintaining the file servers
- Employing the latest security protocols
