Key Responsibilities

Systems & Network Administration

  • Manage and maintain servers, network devices, and directory services to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Configure and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and other system settings to align with security and operational requirements.
  • Oversee patch management, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance activities to sustain optimal performance.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Support ongoing cybersecurity compliance activities, including vulnerability scanning, remediation, and documentation.
  • Utilize security tools to monitor system health, identify threats, and ensure adherence to mandated security standards.
  • Implement and maintain access control measures to safeguard information systems and sensitive data.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Tier 1–3 technical support to local users, including workstation setup, software installation, and hardware replacement.
  • Resolve escalated technical issues efficiently, coordinating with enterprise IT teams when required.
  • Support device imaging, configuration, and deployment for desktops, laptops, and other approved devices.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network changes, and incident resolutions.
  • Develop and update technical procedures, guides, and operational documentation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in systems and network administration, preferably within a regulated or secure environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection platforms, and configuration management tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN management.

Certifications

  • Must hold a relevant industry certification at an intermediate level or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate).
  • Additional vendor-specific certifications in networking, operating systems, or cybersecurity are preferred.

Security & Clearance Requirements

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must meet federal training and certification standards for cybersecurity and IT roles.
  • Must complete privacy and data protection training prior to handling sensitive or regulated information.
