The Support Specialist for staff enablement is primarily responsible for shaping and executing growth and development opportunities for the YouVersion team. This role combines creativity with operational oversight to create and implement learning experiences that evolve alongside team needs. The Support Specialist partners closely with leaders and staff to develop relevant training initiatives, support staff engagement, and strengthen team effectiveness through strategic development opportunities.
This role utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.
What You'll Do
Lead Staff Development Initiatives for the YouVersion Team
Collaborate with leaders to assess development needs and translate them into structured, impactful growth opportunities.
Design learning initiatives that are informed by internal needs, industry trends, and emerging technical opportunities.
Develop and maintain a long-term strategic roadmap for learning experiences.
Create and manage timelines, scopes, agendas, and speaker lineups for development events and training programs.
Partner with Internal Support team members to expand the “YouniVersity” experience beyond onboarding by connecting staff to existing Life.Church learning opportunities, tools, and resources that support long-term success on the YouVersion team.
Foster proactive, cross-functional relationships to align development efforts with broader organizational goals.
Manage Operational and Training Support
Gather feedback to refine and enhance programs, continuously improving relevance and impact.
Collaborate with team members to support end-to-end event execution and logistics, including venue setup, hospitality, reservations, scheduling, and resource preparation.
Develop and maintain training resources and learning systems tailored to the needs of the YouVersion team while aligning with broader Life.Church learning initiatives.
Communicate effectively and regularly with the YouVersion team about upcoming learning opportunities, ensuring training is accessible to a broad audience.
Coordinate with subject matter experts to support area-specific training initiatives.
Partner with Support Team members to execute all-hands events.
Develop and Maintain Team Resources
Build and maintain Staff Portal resources that support and equip the YouVersion team.
Support all Life.Church staff by providing content, contacts, and resources that help teams understand and communicate the vision and reach of YouVersion.
Expand Staff Portal resources for the YouVersion team, creating a centralized hub for team-wide information while connecting staff to Life.Church policies, processes, trainings, and organizational resources.
Skills Needed to Succeed
Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational execution.
Effective in process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
Ability to drive development strategy, roadmap planning, and successful program launches.
High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years related work experience.
