Central Laboratory- Support Service
Location: 2434 Interstate Plaza Dr. Hammond, IN 46324
Shift: 3:00 PM -11:30 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM; Monday through Friday; Rotating Shifts; Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation: Flexible with rotating shifts due to training obligations on both Afternoon and Midnight shifts.

WHAT WILL YOU DO.
This individual is responsible for training all new employees and maintaining educational records for the Support Services Department. This individual will be an expert in all 5 areas of the department which include Data Entry, Processing, Tracking, Reference, and Document Imaging. In addition this individual must maintain a highly professional, caring attitude which will be conducive to the learning environment that needs to be put forth in order to teach new employees the proper skill set. This individual will be expected to maintain QA statistics related to departmental needs and report data as required. The individual is responsible for assisting with managing the workflow and makes recommendations regarding the revision of the workflow process. He/she is required to understand all processes involved to resolve problems and relay information. Must be able to adjust and rotate scheduling according to work volume and training needs. Individual is actively involved in interviewing, training and continuous education, as well as participates in review input. Effectively uses multiple computer systems. Individual is able to achieve expected results and meet deadlines. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education: A. 2-year degree or in the process of taking college classes to complete a 2 or 4 year degree is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Experience: At least 1 year at Alverno Clinical Laboratories (or related organization), as well as familiarity with Alverno Clinical Laboratories and Alverno Provena Hospital Laboratories.
C. Knowledge or experience with computers and the ability to troubleshoot problems is essential.
Must be able to manipulate data in order to maintain proper QA standards. Must have good oral communication/human relation skills.
Good reasoning and organization skills are essential.
Time management and the ability to work well as a team member are essential.
In addition, the job requires the following: excellent human relation skills to interact with customers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to cope with varied levels of workload and multiple tasks.
Must be adaptable/flexible in a changing environment.
