Your Role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the implementation of the ISO/IEC 27001:2023 Information Security Management System (ISMS) across our organization. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, cross-functional digital transformation project focused on security, compliance, and resilience.As part of a dedicated program team, the intern will collaborate with key stakeholders, assist in documentation, research best practices, and help monitor project milestones as the company prepares for its ISO 27001 certification audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project documentation related to the ISMS, including policies, risk assessments, control mappings, and process workflows.
• Assist in gap analysis activities and follow-up actions across teams.
• Coordinate communications with operational and enabling teams to collect inputs and ensure task alignment.
• Help track progress against the 2026 ISO roadmap (objectives, design, implementation, verification).
• Assist in preparing training materials and updating internal knowledge-sharing portals.
• Collaborate with the Lead Implementer and Internal Auditor to support audit preparation and evidence gathering.
• Research ISO 27001:2023 requirements and assist in continuous improvement recommendations.
• Assist in organizing internal meetings, reviews, audits, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Record outcomes from management reviews and internal verifications.
• Provide logistical and scheduling support for mentoring sessions and audits with AENOR and other external partners.

Learning Opportunities

• Exposure to an internationally recognized certification process (ISO/IEC 27001:2023).
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity management, compliance, and governance.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, technology-driven organization.
• Mentorship from subject matter experts in cybersecurity, devops and IT governance.

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, standards, and information management systems.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ISO standards (especially ISO/IEC 27001) is a plus.
• Ability to use AI tools (MS 365 Copilot 365, GitHub Copilot, ...) to boost productivity.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
