Support Engineer, EMEA (Netherlands)

The Opportunity

Picarro is expanding our Customer Support organization to continue building and providing world- class support for our customers. To accomplish this, we are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to work in our office in the Netherlands, Eindhoven Area to assist our global customers with any issues that arise. This role is customer-facing and requires excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

 Remotely assist customers, from simple requests for documentation to detailed instrumentation troubleshooting.

 Be a good listener to really understand customer problems or questions in order to provide optimal solutions.

 Analyze and critically evaluate customer data to determine instrument health, proper experiment setup and provide guidance to customers on these issues.

 Work closely with other members of Picarro to solve problems properly and effectively.  Provide training for distributors representing our products worldwide.

 Perform small repairs on peripherals and analyzers.  Travel to customer sites possible.

  Required to be able to commute to Picarro office in Eindhoven, Netherlands on a daily basis.

Skills and qualifications:

•  A minimum Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or equivalent experience required in an Engineering or Science field.
•  Capacity to quickly learn the complex technology behind Picarro products. Learn and maintain in-
• in-depth knowledge of Picarro product lines.
•  Experience in a direct customer support role preferred.
•  Experience working with measurement equipment in an experimental laboratory setting.
•  Self-starter that can resourcefully work independently, make necessary decisions, and follow through with action plans.
•  Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organization skills.
•   Excellent communication skills. Proficient in English, any other European languages is a plus.

 Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

 In possession of a valid passport, willing and allowed to travel to Picarro HQ in the USA

 Allowed to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship).
