Role purpose

  • To lead of end-to-end production planning process cover for both seeds & non-seeds from derive a monthly consensus of Supply-Demand planning with regional resources, develop and regularly review for Multiplication Order for field production and Process Order for plant production with focus on continuously improve of both field production and processing activities for a specific crop or crops in some or all of the following areas;
  1. from R&D handoff to Parent Seed production and processing
  2. from Parent Seed through field production and seed processing to delivery of commercial seed.
  3. Support to prepare and lead for ROP meeting to fine tune plan.
  • Coordinate on demand signals and feed into Seeds Production Plans (SPP), for Commercial and Parent Seeds that fulfill strategic and financial goals.
  • Facilitate, align and communicate operational plan considering opportunities and risks, leading to Confirmed Sales Plan.
  • As a manager level the available resources and continuously improve the capabilities, processes and assets to meet the business needs in terms of HSE, quality, customer response, cost and efficiency and full compliance with internal and external standards and legislation.

Accountabilities

  • Manage the fixed, variable and capital cost performance for both plant and field in line with agreed budgets and targets
  • Ensure full compliance against all Syngenta standards and local legislation. Ensure all HSE, Quality, Legal and fiscal standards are continuously improved and monitored, that risks are con-trolled and minimized, complaints are investigated and improvement actions implemented
  • Develop and sustain a strong grower supplier base to enable seed sourcing and procurement requirements of annual crop plan to be met
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and responsiveness in line with Syngenta strategy for all products supplied to all markets
  • Identify, motivate and coach key resources to drive and deliver improvement projects, product establishments or performance improvement initiatives

 

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences or Business Administration preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Corn Seeds Production E2E process
  • Knowledge of agricultural supply chain management and logistics

Critical experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in agricultural operations or supply chain management
  • Proven track record in managing seed production processes and operations
  • Experience in developing and implementing production planning strategies
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
