Role Purpose

  • Ensure the supply chain strategy is executed in the BA and delivers the needs of the business
  • Drive the alignment and the implementation of common Crop Protection planning and ways of working and processes across the BA
  • Lead the resolution of operational issues with cross BA geographical and functional boundaries: projects / launch of new products / mid-tier-SAS opportunities / escalations
  • Manage BA operations in S&OP and PRESOP
  • Drive process improvements with a focus on order management and logistics
  • Lead Demand Planning Function supporting CP & SPS in EASA

Accountabilities

  • Acting as the escalation point of contact for Crop Protection supply in BA facilitating communication between the different functions and supply chain planners
  • Leading CP supply process capability improvement activities within the BA
  • Providing operational support for any supply/logistics escalation and ensuring swift resolution
  • Lead NPI creation in all systems, costing & go live
  • Works closely with regional and global supply chain stakeholders to align COGS & GP analysis.
  • Review of Market drivers and assumptions that have impact on business plan & LP
  • OPEX champion for the BA
  • Monitor, Review & report EVENTS, ATM
  • Effective, transparent and accurate data management in BA operating systems including but not limited to GSAP, IBP, APO, QLIKSENSE.
  • SPOC on BA Supply Operations issues.
  • Review, Analyze Presop commitments before signing off by Finance
  • Represent P&S in BA S&OP
  • Forecast accuracy & implementation of forecast monitoring digital metrics.
  • Liaise with Tolling & Logistics Planner to ensure the Toll Production Schedule is aligned on monthly basis.
  • To use market information to negotiate better supply dates and to minimize stock out .
  • Align EASA Forecast in IBP and with the A.I. Allocation plan; communicate to both Customer Service & Logistics Manager and BA Head.
  • Ensure key inputs into IBP and SAP are done and that any arising problems are communicated immediately with suggestions for improvement.
  • Review Kenya EDF events on monthly and advise the Commercial Team on Supply Chain progression.
  • Achieve forecast accuracy for 90days plan in PRE-SOP; capture Lost sales and opportunities

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

Critical Knowledge

  • Business degree , Supply Chain qualification is added advantage
  • A sound understanding of Supply Chain processes in a large organisation.
  • A wide appreciation of Information Technology (SAP).
  • An understanding of Logistics On Time In Full and On Time Delivery.

  • Direct experience in IT based systems
  • Experience in Sales operations & Supply Chain in a large / multinational organization.

  • Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and working under minimal supervision

  • Experience in SAP and Inventory / stock control tools
