Why this role matters:
We are looking for an operationally strong and technically capable Supply Chain Specialist to support the Electronics & Communications category within ICEYE’s Global Supply Chain organization.
In this role, you will independently lead complex operational procurement activities across PCBAs, bare PCBs, electronic components, COTS systems, and related satellite hardware. You will ensure material readiness, supplier follow-up, and commercial discipline while supporting Senior Specialists and Managers in category strategy, supplier development, and negotiation activities.
You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to maintain supply continuity in a dynamic hardware environment where designs evolve, lead times fluctuate, and production schedules require disciplined execution and proactive risk management. In addition to cost and delivery performance, you will ensure that suppliers and EMS partners meet ICEYE’s technical, quality, and documentation requirements, safeguarding compliance and production readiness for space grade hardware.
Who We Are
ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE’s world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy – day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.
As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE’s near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.
ICEYE is headquartered in Finland and operates globally across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. We have more than 900 employees, united by a shared vision: improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.
Requirements
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Assigned electronics and communications hardware is available on time: PCBAs, PCBs, electronic components, COTS systems, and related hardware are sourced, ordered, tracked, and delivered in alignment with development and production schedules, without supply-driven disruptions.
- Procurement execution is accurate, structured, and transparent: Purchase orders, confirmations, lead times, pricing, and ERP data are maintained with high accuracy, ensuring clear visibility of material status and cost.
- Supply risks are identified and escalated early: Long lead times, single-source components, capacity constraints, and supply risks are monitored and managed before impacting builds.
- Supplier performance is actively followed up: Delivery reliability, responsiveness, and quality signals are tracked within the assigned scope, with structured follow-up and escalation when required.
- Sourcing preparation supports informed decision-making: RFQs, bid comparisons, and commercial inputs are prepared in a structured manner to support senior specialists and managers in supplier selection, negotiations, and long-term category development.
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain within electronics manufacturing, aerospace, or other hardware production environments
- Experience executing procurement of PCBAs, PCBs, electronic components, or COTS systems
- Solid understanding of the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment and associated electronics supply chains
- Ability to understand key electronics manufacturing processes (e.g., PCBA assembly, PCB fabrication, component sourcing and lifecycle constraints) and how they affect cost, quality, and lead time
- Experience running mid-value RFQs and supporting supplier negotiations within defined scope
- Experience monitoring supplier delivery, quality, and responsiveness
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools, with strong data discipline
- Ability to identify operational supply risks and escalate them using structured communication
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
Experience working at or closely with an EMS provider is a strong advantage. Experience in space, aerospace, or other regulated industries is considered beneficial.
