Job Description

As the Supply Chain Planner for the Protein Category, you will be the expert responsible for the end-to-end supply of high-quality, fresh ingredients, ensuring our customers get exactly what they ordered, on time, every week. This is a critical role in optimising our supply chain, managing key supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement in our fast-paced operations.

You will…

  • Be in charge of managing the weekly supply of our ingredients to ensure our customers receive high-quality ingredients on time.
  • Own the end-to-end ordering process, becoming the expert on all operational concerns for your ingredient category.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams in our supply chain to continuously optimise our supply setup.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time, on-spec deliveries, and proactively follow up on any shortages or missed deliveries.
  • Regularly visit the production site and communicate with our production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the inventory of our fresh goods to minimise waste and ensure supply.
  • Assemble and report on data related to supplier performance, using insights to identify improvement initiatives for your category.
  • Assist with accurate cost reporting and invoice validation.

You have/are…

  • An organised and proactive approach, with the ability to think on your feet when managing a complex network of suppliers and perishable goods.
  • Ideally, owned a complex category before, preferably in fresh food/short shelf life and have familiarity with a supply chain with multiple suppliers/supply routes.
  • Good analytical skills; a strong command of Excel is a must for reporting and optimisation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • A "whatever it takes" mentality that drives you to find solutions quickly and whenever needed.
  • Obsessed with food and passionate about our business—whether you’re a genuine foodie or a problem-solving zealot!
  • Confident in your manner and able to deal with a large and complex network of suppliers delivering a high quantity and variety of perishable ingredients.
  • Aligning Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Duration: Permanent full time role. 

Location: Penrose, Auckland - hybrid working environment 

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + employee benefits
