The Supply Chain Intern will support day-to-day operations for our publishing supply chain, helping ensure books and related products are accurately produced, stocked, and shipped to customers on time. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with tracking purchase orders (POs), supplier timelines, and shipment status
  • Support inventory monitoring, including identifying stockouts, backorders, and excess inventory
  • Maintain and update supply chain trackers and reports 
  • Help analyze data related to:
    • lead times
    • order accuracy
    • freight/shipping performance
    • inventory turns / on-hand levels
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, customer service, accounting, etc.) to resolve order or inventory issues
  • Support process improvement projects ( improving tracker systems, documentation, workflow efficiency)
  • Prepare weekly summaries or dashboards for leadership, as needed
  • Assist with general administrative tasks supporting supply chain operations

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Analytics, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (filters, formulas, basic analysis)
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
