Supply Chain Business Process Owner

For one of our clients in manufacturing sector we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Business Process Owner (Independent/Freelance consultant).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance supply chain processes specific to discrete manufacturing, focusing on planning (S&OP, MPS, Scheduling) and execution across various production models (MTO, MTS, ATO, ETO).
  • Ensure seamless alignment between supply chain operations and business objectives to optimize efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Act as a key liaison between supply chain teams and ERP systems, with a strong preference for experience in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Analyse, identify, and resolve operational bottlenecks by leveraging strong problem-solving and process optimization skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations, ensuring agility and responsiveness to market demands.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, logistics, and IT) to ensure integration and process consistency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment (e.g., automotive, aerospace, machinery, or electronics).
  • Strong expertise in production planning, scheduling, and execution methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to mediate and drive consensus.
  • Proven ability to lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of supply chain challenges in manufacturing.

This is a long term role for an independent consultant with a start date in March 2025.

Presence on clients site in Liege will be required 3 days/week.
